Not me directly, but someone very close to me (father, who without I would've never found out about SETI back in 2000), was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Thankfully, we have the means to throw every single treatment that modern-medicine has to offer to fight this damned disease... but we're also ready and in peace if the worst happens. All that's certain is that nobody is going anywhere without a good honorable fight.

I'm not venting, neither looking for "I'm so sorry". I just want to give a heads up about the diseases that plague us as a species, that could affect anybody at anytime without warning. Cherish your loved ones, and let those who care about you cherish you.

I'd also like to thank everybody that participates in this project (along with Folding, GPUGrid, and WCG) and the scientists involved, for we are helping (even if it's just by a single grain of sand) to find treatments that our kids or grand-kids might benefit from in the future.

Well then, enough talk for now! Back to folding and crunching!
