It's not just you. Had a look at my Transfers tab and several uploads there waiting to go through, re-trying them & they time out almost instantly. Looks like an issue with the upload server. Edit- The Server Status page shows the Upload server as running, but the Download server as not running. So things are somewhat broken. Grant Darwin NT |

This might be caused by expired AddTrust External Root certificate in ca-bundle.crt, A possible quickfix can be found here: https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/forum_thread.php?id=14006 |

I have the same problem. Tried the fix with ca-bundle.crt but no joy. Given the fact that the server status page says the download server is down I'd suggest that the problem is at their end not ours. |

Download server not running... To start press any key.. where is the any key? Any of the keys on your keyboard. For example, the space bar. |

Hi, it seems the same behavior on my andriod too. For windows I modify the cr-bundle.crt and delete the entry for AddTrust. Now Windows works again. How can I fix it for Andriod? Thx and Regs |

I think some humor may have been overlooked there.... |

Any key except shift, alt, ctrl, Windows, (context menu), Fn, power, sleep, vol+, vol-, home, mail, music, calc, Mac, control, option, NumLock, ScrollLock, CapsLock, mute, play/pause, PrtScr, ... YMMV (not a key AFAIK) |

I think some humor may have been overlooked there.... I'm guessing you're in my advanced age group. I got your ancient joke. It's been decades since I heard it. :-) |

Apparently, Boinc(?) stopped crunching (Rosie) about 18 hours ago. Supposedly have about 20 wu's in progress, according to bakerlab.org. Boinc Manager shows no active tasks. Windows task manager shows no active tasks. Have the following info: bakerlab.org: In progress tasks for The_Bad_Penguin Sent: 30 May 2020, 9:40:27 UTC Time reported or deadline explain: 2 Jun 2020, 9:40:27 UTC Status: In progress Boinc Manager:: Waiting to contact project servers |

Saw the reference to GitHub. Had already downloaded 1720081.crt, double-cicked, and "installed" it. Nothing has changed. What exactly am I supposed to do? EDIT --> Just joined WCG. Will come back to Rosie (maybe 50%) once this resolves itself. EDIT 2 --> Have 4 tasks "Ready to Report" and 17 tasks "Uploading". Would be a shame if all that work is "wasted" because report deadlines are missed due to this issue. |

alternatively, you could download the file called "ca-bundle.crt" from this link https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AAVyh7jontFKASg&id=B0BF9B80B38343C5%21665&cid=B0BF9B80B38343C5 and simply replace the current one in the BOINC folder (it's in the BOINC program folder, typically C:⧵Program Files⧵BOINC, NOT in the BOINC data folder!) with the downloaded one. You don't even need to shut down and restart BOINC. Once the new file is in the folder, just push the "update" button in the BOINC manager, and all pending uploads should upload, and new tasks should be downloaded. P.S.: in case you don't trust the above link, you can download the file from github: https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/blob/master/curl/ca-bundle.crt |
