I set up 2 of my machines to run Rosetta along with Einstein@Home and one of the machines seems to work perfectly fine. But the second will upload finished units, but I have yet to be able to communicate. The Einstein project is suspemded amd all of the settings are the same for both machnes. ????? F. Prefect |

I found the problem. This machine is an old 1.2 Athlon running win98 that I use only for running these projects. It also has a firewall dah (looking a little embarassed) that for some reason will not accept forward slashes as part of a URL address which of course I had completely forgotten about. Once the address was entered as in www.abc.xyz.org would you believe it actually connected ;-) Sorry for the trouble. F. Prefect |
