Hi all, just joined this and have lots of idle machines (SunFire) but without direct access to the internet. Is there a way how I can download packages and let these machines work anyways and later upload the processed packages? Thanks in advance Mike |

It can be done, but with a 10day deadline on Rosetta, you'd have to fiddle with it at least every 10 days. It may help if you describe what access to these machines is available. Are the all on a LAN? How would you bring work to them? Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

[sarcasm] Cool. Seems that the "someone" who has been going around rating posts as -1 got themselves a mod. wasn't certain they were in season...[/sarcasm] |

They are all in a seperated management vlan - no access to the internet of course. Access available: SSH via a management lan Nevermind though, I guess I somehow install a squid proxy and try access witzh some kind of "russian solution" =) |
