Just a little side note, to the extent possible, the screensaver should be "real" in that it does reflect on the current science done ... Good screen savers SETI@Home - shows the signal processing and where they are in the analysis Einstein@Home - where they are looking in the night sky CPDN - what weather is currently happening on the globe Bad Predictor@Home - slide show with no significant tie to the science LHC@Home - does not show ACTUAL particle positioning, but an artificially geneerated set of particles Just my thoughts on actual mechanics. Though, I will also say that I don't use screen savers, I do occasionally look at the graphics, say 2-3 times a year ... :) Actually, I do use them when I am showing some one why I have 8 computers running at home ... |

easy... not everyone that notes there is non is automatically moaning about it. normaly you note things you see during beta stage. Exactly, one of my Hansom Models did not have a Screensaver and was concerned. So,someone that is new to Boinc may believe there should be a S.S.Myself I find them Redundant and "Eye Candy".Yet there importance is Omnipresent for some, and I find good info in the 3 Listed Below:Seti,Einstein,Climate, Rosetta may save lives, thats what matters, not S.S,s,credits and "Noteriety". Crunch away,Rosetta Rocks! Sincerly Doug Worrall |
