Hi! I have been running SETI, Rosetta and Einstein on my new Intel 2.2 gHz Dual Processor computer. A couple of weeks ago I changed my preferences from 33% each to 20% SETI and 40% each for the other two, as SETI was giving me too many data tasks to complete in time.

Now though, I see that only SETI was being worked on, and my other two projects are past due, since they are not being worked on. Rosetta and Einstein both show "Task suspended by user" -- how did that happen? How do I get them going again, and will they eb able to be completed now that they are 3-5 days beyond the due date?

I will try resetting everything to the old 33% sharing.

Thanks! John

If any of your projects are giving you so many tasks that you can't complete them all in time then you should look at the size of your task cache and maybe consider decreasing the size of your cache. Decreasing the offending project's share probably won't cure the problem of getting more work than you can complete on time.

Also, which version of BOINC are you running? BOINC 6.4.5 and later versions have bugs that may be affecting you. Unless you want to process tasks on nVidia CPU, you're probably better off staying with version 6.2.18.

You should just abort those overdue tasks and then do an update to get new ones. The chance of you getting credit for those is pretty remote, the procedure is simple but unlikely for you to actually get any credits. YOU must return the unit BEFORE the person that was sent the unit because you didn't return it on time. Since it has already been several days, those other folks should already be well on their way to finishing them.
