I have looked at the various message boards and I am confused. I follow the links on the message boards and I come up with information that I did not expect. I am also confused as to why I cannot get rosetta to run. I have been running rosetta for probably over a year (maybe 2 or 3) I have noticed that BOINC is no longer picking up any work from rosetta. The best I can see from the BOINC log is that I always get a "communications deferred message". When I go to the rosetta site it says I have been only a user since 6/9 and like I said its been at least a year and more likely 2 or 3 years . I am not sure I understand why I am getting communications and why deferred (all the time) The design to me is far to complicated for something simple like this, also why my membership only says 6/9/2009 when I have been doing this for more than 1 year. Users are identified by their EMail addresses. So, it sounds like you've got more then one EMail address, and have attached to the project under more then one user account. When you first start up the BOINC Manager, there are messages posted that show your host ID for your computer. What host ID or "computer ID" is shown for Rosetta@home? Now, go to the projects tab in the advanced view and select Rosetta from the list of projects, then click the button over on the left for "your account". It will open a browser. What user ID number is shown in the web address it sends you to? Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

I have looked at the various message boards and I am confused. There is already a discussion about getting units in the Number Crunching section, here is a link https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/forum_thread.php?id=4956 Hopefully you can get some answers there. |
