Hello!

In the Rechenkraft.net Wiki, we have a comment on running Rosetta@home on Linux. It says that if you are running other Projects besides Rosetta@home on a Linux Host, you should enable the "Leave applications in memory while suspended?" option. Otherwise, if resuming a Rosetta task, it will remain in "ready to start"-state, but not actually begin to run.

Since no one of us knows if this is still a problem, we'd be happy to delete the comment.
Anyone who knows what I'm talking about: has this Problem been fixed?

Thanks a lot!

The recommendation to leave tasks is memory would be a good one either way. I would guess the fix may be related to a BOINC core client version, more then a Rosetta version.

I believe most of us do that anyway.

If the problem only occurs with rosetta applications i'd blame rosetta. I have no idea of BOINC or rosetta software, of course, but it seems logical to me.

If you are right, the search for this information could get more complicated than i thought.
