muwuhahahahahahahadbeens @@! By my count, there is only one person in that thread who has made any mention of doing ugly things to stuffed animals. Worse yet, it's part of a completely unsubstatiated accusation. Glass houses and all that ...... |

unsubstantiated accusation My favourite words in the whole vurld! :) Anyway, even if it was me who made the fluffy mutilation website http://www.violentclown.com I can easily defend myself!!! You see I read once ~ Over a seven year period the human body totally regenerates i.e. every cell is replaced - This means I am now 2/7 of a different person (ok so I admit the new 2/7 of me could be more evil than the old 5/7 of the old me)<=nah forget that...:) But what a defense!! - You see nature clearly intended the longest prison sentence should only be 7 years - How can you possibly convict all future me's for a mutilation committed by a previous me!!! hehehehe Once lawyers and stuff start grasping this simple get out clause (after they read this incredible mind-bending post probly) You will see this utilized in court on a regular basis - It could even change the vurld !!!!! heheMwahehe :) Thanks for the new thread Pixiebot :ok: FaDBeens - Position 35 Been there done that? I said: unsubstantiated (sic) accusation My bad, that should have been "unsubstantiated". FaDBeens - Position 35 BTW, check this page out, oh great one of evilness. With a good helping of luck, and some well orchestrated assassinations, we should be able to jump a few team ranks in the next couple of days. |

Is anyone else having their manager nag them that it needs to connect for various reasons? Even tho' it's already connected and has access, as proven by the messages saying tasks have already been uploaded, etc. Then, when I tell it to update, the messages say user instigated and I get something about communications deferred by X number of minutes. WTF is going on and why is the manager being so chatty?? Call me clueless. [I know you do. <wink>] FADBeens |

I often see the same message, GP. I check BOINC Manager and look at the Work tab to see if any jobs are completed and ready to be returned. If so, then I click on the Projects tab and click on the Update pushbutton. No action is required, but it is a nuisance. [Edit] I am using BOINC version 5.2.12. [/Edit] |

Call me equally clueless. (And I'm not telling you what version I'm running cos it's secret!) |

I said: Yes it looks like our red blocky thingumies are bigger than their green ones!!! Thing is vurld domination by blocks isn't exactly that entertaining! - What we really need is explosions and blood and Omen music etc!!! hehehe Yes that would be much better! :) Talking about these strange messages - My computer Maxwell started doing this to me today at work - Then it decided (on its own I hasten to add) It didn't really need to talk to the net (message was "Boinc Suspended" on the screen saver) and It started crunching again! I decided to be lazy and rather than dial a connection I brought it home to send in jobs from here! Gonna have to do that every week now probly 'till I can get the other computer to share it's net connection (Which I can't do without resetting up the whole network as I can't change the other computers IP to 192.168.0.1 as one of the wireless comps needs that address for its wap and win xp says address already used blah blah (To use xp net sharing the host must be 192.168.0.1) - This pc has two lan cards and a wap (set in client mode) itself and my networking abilities are not really up to sorting this mess out ~ In fact I totally can not think of a way around this problem at the mo! Been there done that? You should be able to get a freeware packadge, somthing like (old havent searched for it/used it in ages) Proxy+, which would do your internet connection sharing quite friendly'ly like. Alternativly, you could always go overboard (like us) - build and run a firewall, running ipcop OS. If you find the Mod for it, it'll scan all your network traffic for spam, and virus's, as well as being mighty unfriendly for hackers. (Hah! try DoS'ing that this time you horrible people.. they once almost knocked out our home internet!) |

Already had preferences set to not require confirmation, so dunno what's up. Shall ignore nagging so long as crunch results continue to be sent by themselves. Had the world's fastest oil change outside of the racing world today. Called dealership asking wait times. Was told absolutely no one had brought anything in and if I got over there before anyone else, I'd get immediate service. They weren't kidding! By the time data entered into computer and I got a cup of their gourmet coffee and some of the free popcorn in the waiting room, oil was changed and I was handed a coupon greatly reducing the cost of my 30k service which is due next. Apparently everyone either still on road from holidays, at work or shopping. Yippee! Gotta love those sneak attacks of customer service. <grin> //blows kiss to her local Nissan dealership// FADBeens |
