Thanks RNY ! I agree WELCOME BACK, I think the reason no one has been here much is the problems Rosie is having with the different versions of Boinc and the fact that Rosie does NOT work well with version 7. I downgraded a couple pc's for a bit, but have since upgraded them again and have moved on to other projects. |

Thanks RNY ! What I am seeing is the hyb tasks don't seem to like V7. They give only 50% credit for some reason. Everything else seems to run ok. Had one task with a file does not exist error. One other one seemed to be restarting, but I think it was due to me having system issues due to cleaning off trojans from my system. Will see how things go over the weekend. Penguin, you don't have a sat phone for your computer to attach to? lol |

Thanks to all who remember a Penguin ! Back in US, keeping busy with SO's PhD studies. Got a nudge from someone in Waffle-land, and d/l'd current Boinc, and firing up lappy with hyper-threaded quad-core. Splitting time btwn Simap and Boinc for now. I'll see what I can notice re Rosies and v7. Defeat Censorship! Wikileaks needs OUR help! Learn how you can help (d/l 'insurance' file), by clicking here. Thanks RNY ! Try Malwarebytes.org for FREE antibadstuff software. I keep it on ALL my machines and run it once a month prior to backing them up, it is often on sale for 10 bucks(US) for a lifetime version. The ONLY difference between the free and paid versions is the paid version will do auto updates and scans. I run Microsoft Security Essentials as my everyday AV, it is free too. Knock on wood I have been free from bad stuff since I started using these two. |

Thanks RNY ! I found a program called Super Antispyware and it updates definitions and does a scan according to your settings. It picks up on tracking cookies as well as trojan and the rest. It also sits in your system tray and keeps an eye on things in the background. I think it is one of the best programs I have used in a long time. |
